December 2020

This Christmas was hard for all of us, however it was especially difficult for those that depend on therapy.  When we found out that there was an opportunity for us to help special needs families around us we jumped at the challenge.

On a regular basis parents of special needs kiddos are left to decide between toys (things on our children’s wish lists) and medical equipment. Each year Hoosier FWD holds an annual giving tree where families are selected by therapists based on need. Each child has a tag on the Christmas tree with their Christmas wish list. The tags are then hung on a Christmas tree at Dye’s Walk Country Club and chosen by generous friends of Hoosier FWD.

After being approached to sponsor 6 families, we decided to host a 48 hour “donation” drive to see how many more families we could help.  Everyone’s generosity was incredible! We raised an additional $1300 and because we like round numbers Hoosier FWD matched it and a little more! We donated a total of $3,000 to help 38 families have a MERRY CHRISTMAS! These deserving families were not going to have anything under their tree without all everyone’s generosity and support.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
